Upon graduation from the University of St. Thomas in 1992, Tom started his insurance career as a sales agent, training with a large direct-writer insurance company in St. Paul, MN. Tom then became an independent agent with a large agency in Edina, MN specializing in Workers’ Compensation before returning home to Duluth in 1998. Tom is currently the VP of Property and Casualty and a Principal with Otis-Magie Insurance Agency, Inc.

Bob began his insurance career in 1969 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bemidji State University. Bob is active in the Rotary Club of Duluth, The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Miller Dwan Foundation and the Labovitz School of Business and Economics-UMD. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. Bob appreciates the quality support staff at Otis-Magie, and the open access to markets that allows him to provide the best solutions to his clients. Bob specializes in commercial lines of coverage for aviation related businesses.

Randy received his A.A. degree from Vermillion Community College after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. In 1981, Randy began his insurance career as a life insurance agent with the American Fraternal Union in Ely. In 1986, Randy moved his family to Duluth to work as a personal lines and commercial agent. He later purchased a local insurance agency and acted as an owner/operator. In 2004, Otis-Magie acquired the agency and Randy joined the team as a Personal Lines Agent. He specializes in personal auto and homeowner’s coverage and also works with the financial services division for life, health and investment products.

Eric, a lifelong Duluthian, began his insurance career with the Otis-Magie Agency as a customer service representative after serving with the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard for 9 years. With a background in serving commercial accounts and working directly with the underwriters, Eric brings a unique understanding to commercial insurance. Eric specializes in commercial coverage and has earned his CISR designation.

Sharon began her insurance career in 1972 in St. Louis Park, MN. Upon her return to the Duluth Area in 1976, she joined the Otis-Magie team. Sharon enjoys painting, quilting jewelry making photography and scrapbooking. She is active with the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department and assists with fundraising projects for an animal rescue non-profit organization. Sharon specializes in commercial lines of coverage and holds her CIC designation.

Scott holds multiple degrees from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Marketing, Management and Transportation/Distribution. He began his career in insurance in 2001 as a marketing representative. Scott was born and raised in Superior, WI, and enjoys collecting die cast cars, farm and construction equipment. Scott has served on the WITC Alumni Board, the Duluth Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Committee the Duluth Superior Construction Liaison Association and is active in his church. Scott specializes in commercial property and casualty, group health and life and disability income coverages.

Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1986 and immediately went to work in the insurance industry as an underwriter specializing in property and casualty insurance. He joined the Otis-Magie team in 1988 when he and his wife decided to return to the Duluth- Superior area to raise their family. Dan enjoys hiking, travel, antiques and home restoration. Dan received his certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992 and specializes in Commercial Property and Casualty coverage as well as Group Employee Benefits.

Rhonda began her insurance career in 1987 as a Customer Service Assistance for Insurance Service Agency in Duluth, MN. In 1990, she took a position with RJA Companies in Eden Prairie, MN, as an Account Manager for commercial property & casualty insurance, focusing on marketing and customer relations. In 1996, she joined Otis-Magie Insurance Agency, and is currently the Commercial Lines Manager. In addition to managing, she continues to focus on large commercial accounts, with an emphasis on marketing, risk analysis, and customer relations.

Rhonda earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1994.
Continued educational studies relating to insurance and business operations are an ongoing objective for Rhonda to meet the needs of the agency's clients.
